Frequently asked questions

Which Sandals resort is actually the best?

There is no single "best" Sandals — there is only the best Sandals for your priorities. Sandals Grande St. Lucian is the safest "best overall" because it balances beach, dining, scenery, and service. Sandals Saint Vincent is the best if you want the newest design and overwater bungalows. Sandals Grenada is the best if you want the quietest, most romantic honeymoon atmosphere. Dunn's River is the best if you want modern architecture in Jamaica with the widest food program.

Are these reviews sponsored by Sandals?

No. We are an independent publication and have never accepted payment, free stays, or editorial direction from Sandals Resorts International or any property we cover. Travel is self-funded or booked through standard affiliate channels. Revenue comes from affiliate links (Travelpayouts/Stay22) only — never from resort sponsorships.

What is the difference between a pillar review and an individual review?

Our pillar reviews compare every reviewed property in a category (e.g., "best Sandals resorts 2026") and rank them into tiers. Individual reviews go deep on one property — floor plans, specific room categories, dining by restaurant, beach conditions, and honest drawbacks. Start with the pillar for the shortlist, then read the individual review before you book.

How often are these reviews updated?

We update every review at least once per calendar year, and more frequently when new rooms open, service changes, or pricing shifts materially affect our recommendation. Each page shows a "last updated" date. The yearly pillar re-rank is typically published in January.

Do you cover Beaches resorts too?

Yes — Beaches Turks & Caicos and Beaches Negril are reviewed below. Beaches is the family brand under the same parent company as Sandals. We review it separately because the "best for" angle is fundamentally different: kids' water parks, childcare, and multi-generational suites matter here in a way they don't at adults-only Sandals properties.
