What we collect

Information you give us

• Email address if you sign up for our newsletter.
• Email content if you send us a message at hello@theresortedit.com.

Information we collect automatically

• Anonymous analytics — pages visited, referrer, country (city-level not stored), browser type, device class. We use this to understand which content is useful and to fix problems.
• Cookies — small files used by our analytics provider and (when you click an affiliate link) by our affiliate networks to attribute the booking back to us.

How we use it

• To send you our newsletter (only if you signed up — you can unsubscribe anytime via the link in every email).
• To respond to your emails.
• To improve our content based on aggregated, anonymous patterns.
• To attribute affiliate bookings (so we get credit for the introduction — see our Affiliate Disclosure).

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell or rent your email address to anyone.
• We do not use your email address for any purpose other than the newsletter and direct correspondence.
• We do not run intrusive third-party advertising trackers (beyond our own analytics and the affiliate networks listed in our Disclosure).

Third parties

• Email service provider — we use a reputable provider to send our newsletter. They process your email solely to deliver our messages and have no rights to use it for any other purpose.
• Affiliate networks — when you click an affiliate link, the destination network (e.g., CJ Affiliate, Travelpayouts) drops a tracking cookie to attribute any subsequent booking. Their privacy policies govern that data.
• Hosting — our site is hosted on infrastructure that may collect basic server logs (IP address, request time) for security and operational purposes. These logs are not retained beyond 30 days.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / etc.)

You have the right to:

• Know what data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time.
• Object to processing.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (under 16 in the EU). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter.
